Coaches in Training will…

- Strengthen leadership skills
- Challenge their bodies through vigorous play
- Learn to work together in a team
- Gain confidence with public speaking
- Make new friends
- Become a beloved role model
- Learn best ways to resolve conflicts
- Learn how to be their best selves
- Prepare for possible future employment at Playformance
Many of our most loved coaches are former CITs and Interns!
Playformance is accepting applications for CIT candidates throughout the summer but have LIMITED space for coach in training positions. A completed application does not guarantee a position as a CIT. Nor does previous CIT experience. Candidates must turn in a written application (on our Coach in Training brochure in our lobby) and schedule an interview with Coach Kevin at least 3 weeks prior to their desired start date.
Not all applicants will be accepted into our CIT program. Applicants must have the maturity required by the demands of leadership. Middle school aged students are welcome to attend Playformance Camps as campers with a future goal of growing toward becoming a CIT or because they would enjoy it more. CITs pay camp tuition but early and after care is FREE.
During the interview, applicants will be evaluated on the following characteristics: maturity, patience, communication skills, friendliness, enthusiasm, and attitude.
To gain the most from their mentorship, CITs are strongly encouraged commit to 5 consecutive days or camp. Other schedules may be possible. After acceptance into our program, CITs and their parents will work out a desirable schedule.
Training: CITs are required to attend a 2 hour training “play”shop at Playformance before the start of summer to bond, prepare, and have fun. Training date TBD.
Those who are unable to attend the training will be STRONGLY encouraged to shadow a coach during Family Play or Parkour on any Saturday. Please call Anna 850-5218 to schedule.
Uniform and Expectations: CITs will be required to wear a CIT camp shirt at all times while scheduled. One shirt will be given as part of the perks of being a CIT and additional shirts can be purchased at the front desk.
CITs are expected to have healthy lunches, drink water, be present with campers, avoid using their phones at work, be on time, and have fun!
Early care/ Aftercare:
Included in your CIT mentorship is FREE early and after care during camp hours 8-9 am and 3-5 pm. (A $30 day/ value)
