Girls Team: Camping Trip
Itinerary as follows:
Tuesday 9: Packing Day! Normal class time, 4:30-6:00pm. Athletes please bring everything to Playformance, including clothes, toiletries, and sleeping bag. This should all fit in one medium duffel bag.
Thursday 11: Parent food-donation drop off at Playformance from 2:30-4:30pm.
Friday 12: Girls Team meet at Playformance 8:00am, leave in group van at 8:30am
- Drive up Mt. Lemmon
- Stop for a hike and sack lunch
- Check-in at Showers Point Campground 2:00pm
- Games and dinner
Saturday 13:
- Adventure day: Hiking, games and exploration on Mt. Lemmon.
Sunday 14:
- Pack-up camp
- Check-out 10:30am
- Mini-adventure on way down
- Pick-up at Playformance 3:00pm

Itinerary:
Meet at Playformance at 8:30 am, leave by 9:00. Head south to Bisbee and eat lunch.
Check in at Shaw house at 2:00 pm.
Saturday: Either bouldering or larger hike. Please plan for large hike.
Sunday: Pack up and head home. Weather permitting, stop at Wilcox Dry Lake. Aiming to be back at 3-6 pm.
Girls Team: Hike Gordon Hirabayashi
Drop-off is at 7:00am, on Mt. Lemmon at Lower Green Mountain Trailhead.
Pick-up is at 1:30pm, on Mt. Lemmon at Gordon Hirabayashi Campground.

This hike will include around 5 miles of walking, and extra exploring, with variable sun exposure. It is super important that all athletes bring and wear appropriate shoes, sunscreen, sun hat, and long-sleeved sun protection shirt. Also water, 4 bottles minimum!
Athletes are responsible for packing their own hiking backpacks; athletes, please pack/ wear:
- Close toed shoes
- Sunscreen and wide brimmed hat
- Long sleeve sun protection shirt
- Backpack with:
- Water (2-3 liters or 4+ bottles)
- Snacks (trail-mix, fruit, etc)
- Lunch (Sandwich, etc)
A note that cell service is spotty on the mountain, so please plan accordingly. Coach Anna and I will have walkie-talkies while hiking.

Itinerary:
Meet at Playformance at 8:30 am, Depart By 9:00 in Van
Check into Cotton Wood Campground sites A20, A21 and A23
Setup camp and go on a walk in the wash directly east of camp.
Friday: Head into park and scramble up sites like Cap Rock and Skull Rock. Time and energy permitting, watch the sunset from Keys View or try again on Saturday.
Saturday: Boy Scout Trail out and back 8 mile hike, boulder during lunch.
Sunday: Pack up early and head to Salton Sea Via Box Canyon Road. Weather and time permitting, explore the Mecca Hills Wilderness, specifically Ladder Canyon Trail. Head home, arriving 6-9 pm.

What: Fun and challenging hike at Picacho Peak State Park. Meet at Sunset Vista Trailhead at 10am. Lead by Coach Cole and Coach Austin.
Bring: Hiking backpack, 2-3 liters of water, big sack lunch and lots of snacks.
Wear: Closed toed shoes, hiking clothes, sunscreen, sun hat.
Transportation: Need parent drivers.
Girls Team: Westside Hike
What: A fun and challenging team building hike for our Girls Team with Coach Jakelynn and Coach Anna
Bring: Hiking backpack, 2-3 liters of water, sack lunch, and lots of snacks.
Wear: Closed toed shoes, layers for warmth, sun hat, sunscreen.
Transportation: Parents meet with kids at trailhead at 7am

Hike Mt Ajo via Bull Pasture On Saturday 8.9 miles with 2,000 feet elevation gain (hard)
Saturday evening, Colter who has been a coach on a few trips a few years ago will stop by. He recently won grants from the University of Arizona to map the United States Border Patrol surveillance network along our southern border and will be out during the same weekend. He will be stopping by to show off his most recent photography work and talk about his process. You can see his work here.
Head home on Sunday and return 1-3 pm.

Head to Tempe to check out ASU’s campus.

Head to Civic building and other buildings in Tempe.
Watch the sunset from Papago Park.

It is mandatory for all Travel Team members to attend, but competing is optional. If you can’t make it please contact me.

Parkour Picnic
Meet at Himmel Park by Hippie Hill.
3pm - 5pm
Bring the whole family, a blanket and some snacks or dinner.
Most Playformance coaches will be in attendance leading games for all our parkour students.
Wasson Peak Hike
Parents drop off and pickup.
Meet at King Canyon Trail Head at 3:30 pm, pickup at 8 pm.
Bring sunscreen, 50 oz of water, snacks, sandwich, and good shoes. A flashlight is required, a head lamp is a great bonus.
Grand Canyon
Leaving on Thursday morning, September 14th and returning Sunday, September 17th.
Location: Ten-x Campground site B, Google maps pin.

7:00 AM Head to Grand Canyon and hike Bright Angel Trail! Lead group will go to Indian Gardens, second group will turn around at 3 mile rest house. Check out the map here.
2:00 PM Head back to camp - mandatory nap time
4:00 PM Get up and hang out around the camp low movement games and then dinner.
8:00 PM Early Bed? Will see how kids are doing.

Mandatory Team meeting for all parents and students of the Travel Team and Girls Team. Will go over expectations and trips for the smester.

Timeline of events
1:30 pm check-in

6:30 pm Eat pizza dinner and go over rules and expectations for sleepover
7:00 pm re enter Playformance to play games and meet the other team.

7:00 am get up, pack up things, eat breakfast
8:00 am head out into downtown tucson and practice parkour with the SPF team.
12:00 pm pickup from Playformance.
A sleep under is also an option. Pickup at 10 pm and drop off at Playformance at 8 am to join the crew for the morning outing.
SPF competition
WCPKC qualifier hosted by SPF in Mesa.
7-12 year olds will compete on Saturday, April 16th, from 9 am to 7 pm.
13-18 and Adults will compete on Sunday the 16th from 9 am to 7 pm.
Sign up for the competition. $55 registration to WCPKC + $30 per event (freestyle, speed, skill)
No van offering for this trip, meet at SPF the morning of the competition.
San Diego Trip
Leaving on the 18th of March and returning on the 21st (3 nights)
Locations: Staying at South Carlsbad State Beach Campground
Equipment needed: Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, tent, Packing list
Cost: Pay what you can $75, $50, $25, $0. Add Wetsuit rental $15. If you are doing $0 please still “purchase” the product so I know you choose that amount.
Food: Parents food sign up. Please sign up for two items. Packing day is Thursday the 16th. Bring a fully packed bag and all food.

Itinerary:
Saturday: Meet at Playformance at 6 am and drive to Campground. Please bring a sack lunch for the drive. Once arrived, set up camp and head to the beach for the rest of the day.
Sunday: Head into town to explore. Map of parkour spots.
Monday: Day at the beach, rent wetsuits, boogie board, and build sand castles.
Tuesday: Dawn patrol for final waves, return wetsuits, clean up and head home. Aim to be back by 6 pm.
Swim Test at Catalina Pool
Swim test to make sure all kiddos are competent in the water before heading to San Diego.
Meet at Catalina Pool on the campus of Catalina High, not to be confused with Catalina Foothils High School.
There will be no morning practice.
Practice at U of A
Travel team’s practie at U of A. Drop off and pickup at the Student Union Roundabout.
Start and end times are unchanged.
